Tips for visiting New York and attending a Yankees game?

Want to take my son to a Yankees game, but have never visited New York. Where should we stay, what transportation should we take, etc. Any tips appreciated - we're clueless! Also which seats are best - moderate budget. Thanks!

  1. New York Boat Show is under way. We're looking forward to a good show. Stop by the Formula booth if you're in the area!

Since, this your first trip to Yankee Stadium (home to the 27 Time World Series Champ NY Yankees), you will need to take public transit to get from Midtown, Manhattan to the Bronx, which is where the stadium is located.

If you're on the West Side of the Manhattan, you can take the uptown (northbound) "D" train (Orange Line on the subway map) to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium.

If you're on the East Side of Manhattan, you can take the uptown (northbound) #4 train (Green Line) to the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium, or the Metro-North's Hudson Line from Grand Central to Yankee Stadium-153rd Street.

The fare on the subway is the very cheap, its on $2.25 per person, per ride. The fare on Metro-North will cost you about $6.50 each way, per person.

I hope this information is very helpful.

    Good luck
