How much emergency money should I bring to New York City?
Me and three friends are going to New York from the south. We want to know how much money we should bring, in case the car breaks down, or something absolutley terrible happens.
make sure to take enough for at least 2 nights stay at a economical hotel and also depending on the current rates of per mile for a tow truck. Better yet, why not just rent a car and make sure you purchase insurance. Car rentals are the best way to go, especially if you dont trust your car.
$500 on some kind of visa or master card ATM/debit card just set up for this
rest in a bank account (debit)
a few places still do not accept plastic, so cash is always good.
two cards is better than one should one get lost
visa/mastercard ATM/debit has maximum compatibility with a variety of machines, ATM, bank teller, cash register, cash back (on purchase), etc. the most amount o change you cna access your money.
money is the root of all evil
