Where is a good place to eat lunch in New York City?

There is a special someone that I would like to take out to lunch. She can't eat fried or spicy foods. Most of the restaurants in Manhattan (The City) is fulled with burgers, fries, sushi, and nothing special. Sushi isn't an option either. Sorry for being picky everyone, I've tried almost everything and I've looked everywhere for special small plates that are tasty. Anyone have any suggestions?

  7. There's a raw place on 23rd Street near Madison Square Park called Bonobo's. They're not spicy at all, and since everything is raw, there's nothing fried. You can get a salad with a nut patty.

She might be able to get something at Candle Cafe (3rd Avenue and 75th Street), a mostly vegan cafe.

Teany, Moby's tea shop on the Lower East Side, has little sandwiches that might work.

  10. FYI. Put salt on your steps and walk. Might not want to let kids/dog eat snow there. Special compounds in salt bad for all. :)
