Depending on where you are they also serve souvlaki, rice, fresh fruits, roasted peanuts & cashews, pistachios, chestnuts, knishes, chicken, beef, bagels, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, donuts, sandwhiches....The foods do vary with the neighborhood.
You name it! In N.Y.C., Street vendors FROM all over the World, sell "fast food" samplings from all over the World... You HAVEN'T been to the Big Apple- unless you've tried some of them out! :)
Love and serve your city, your neighborhood, your workplace, your home & your loved ones today.

ReplyDeleteSome streets don't allow food vendors.
There are some around central park who do some ethnic things and some around the MMMA
ReplyDeleteAroydee, Gamla Stan, (Old city) in Stockholm will never serve shark fins they claim in local newspaper. Good!
ReplyDeleteAwarded "Best Street Vendor" was the Dosa man - Sri Lanka - his cart is at Washington Square South and Sullivan Street
ReplyDeleteLeek pancakes - cart is at Grand and Mott in Chinatown
Tacos - truck on 96th and Broadway - evening and night (they're not allowed to park there before 6pm - really good tacos and quesidillas)
There are also carts selling shish kabobs, curries, hot dogs, shwarmas, nuts, ices and ice creams. I loved the carved mangos.
