  2. Sales tax in NYC is 8.375%. The tip scale starts at 15% but you can choose to leave more (18%, 20%). Many restaurants add a tip for parties over 6 or 8. You should asked what the restaurant's policy is at the time you make a reservation. Often, the restaurant's policy is written on the bottom of the menu.

  3. Sometimes on a party of 5+ (some 6+) will have anywhere from 18-20% tax added. That is a common thing all over the US though.

    15% tip (expected - you'll find it difficult to get away with less, even though it's not obligatory by law)

  13. This lady is being so rude to the staff at this restaurant.. Ppl in positions of service help make life easier for U TOO! Treat them as such
